Research
My academic work encompasses over 80 publications, including books, journal articles, chapters, and policy reports for international organisations and think tanks. I have published in many of the leading journals in European, International, and Migration Law, as well as in Migration Studies more broadly. My work examines Migration Law as a key aspect of globalisation and the processes of inclusion and exclusion. I am recognised as one of the leading international authorities on international migration law and the foremost expert globally on comparative Nationality and Migration Law in Latin America. Since 2018, I have also been engaged in the study of free movement of people regimes worldwide. This has now become my primary area of research, and the Freemove project can be accessed here.
